I'm usually reading a book on criticism and a book of poetry, once in a while I manage to read a novel. Currently, I'm reading a book on New Formalism and about to start reading some more Lacan.
mostly textbooks now that I'm in school again
mostly read short stories, novellas, and poetry now because I don't have the time and taking a month to read a novel depresses me
i read classics and philosophy.

History, mostly. Early 20th century poetry. Futurist writing. A lot of literary theory and classic fantasy books.
I'm a journalism major so I read a lot of news. I also read authors who used to be journalists to see how they translated news writing into prose. Hemingway and Thompson are two that I've been enjoying recently.
I've also been reading some Dick and am starting to read all of Shakespeare in chronological order.
I have a study bible which includes maps, notes and references that I read alongside a KJV bible.
