Here are some books I've recently enjoyed

The ONE Thing

Psycho Cybernetics

The Alchemist

Siddhartha

The Sun Also Rises (was a reread but better the second time)

The Blank Slate

What have you recently enjoyed?
>>
Your taste is shit
>>
Joseph and his Brothers by Mann
On What Matters by Derek Parfit :3
>>
I'd like to recommend you some books:

The Corpus Hermeticum - Hermes Trismigistus

The Consolation of Philosophy - Boethius

Essays in Idleness - Kenko

Why do you say that?
>>
Books I've dropped recently
- The Road, 40 pages in
- Slaughterhouse Five, 20 pages in

Book I'm enjoying right now is The Trial, by Kafka.

I don't blame you for dropping Slaughterhouse-Five, but you could have finished that in like an hour
>>
>>7500570
>215 pages
>an hour
Do you people really read this fast?

And the subject matter was just dead boring to me, even though I'm German. Before I'd force myself through books because "they are classics and everyone likes them" but I realized I have nothing to gain by doing that and should just skip to the books I actually enjoy.

Who is this trouser arouser

Fair point.

My copy had a little over 100 pages, and the prose is very very simple. Maybe an hour was an exaggeration but I definitely remember reading it in two or three.
>>
Recently finished A Scanner Darkly, easily one of my favorite sci-fi books

OP here. Couldn't stand The Road either.
