What the FUCK happened? People have literally died of disappointed from this.

That's what you get when a writer whose main technique is "I'm just gonna make it up as I go along" tries to write an epic fantasy story.
>>7482364
stephen king is the literary form of tarantino anyway. your fault for getting your hopes up.
>>7482376
>the literary form of tarantino
>not palahniuk
lol
Seemed pretty Nietzsche to me,eternal recurrence and all.
>>7482377
no, Palahniuk is m night shyamalan.
>>7482384the horn of eld was in his hand, which could mean the next cycle would be the lasthe could've written the last cycle in the first fucking place, but had to rely on a gimmick ending
>>7482395Even if he did write the last cycle, it'll be disappointing as well because it's Stephen King.
>>7482443maybe the tv adaption will give us a proper fucking ending
>>7482453Proper or not, it's going to be disappointing.
Just face the fact that the Dark Tower world is messy and incomplete. It's to be expected of an author like Stephen King who literally makes up the story as he writes.
>>7482364
>>7482395he is doomed until he can put his friends before his obsession with the Tower is the point, I think, or at least a very large part of it, so the ending is good as it is. it also mirrors the poem it is based on, as well as calling to mind eternal recurrence like >>7482384 suggested, Roland being the type whose re-living is a hell because he is doing it wrong.
>>7482501did the main bad guy at the end have to turn out to be a carbon copy of the ice king from Adventure Time? Why was he throwing snitches from fucking Harry Potter. Why was he erased out of existence by some faggot that was introduced 2 minutes earlier. Why. Also. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
>>7482501
Roland Deschain did nothing wrong.
>>7482593
King sure as fuck thought so.
This is the anti- lit suicide cult, which is why it's so hated on by lit and reddit.
King's self-insertion is either egregious or necessary, nothing in between, and Roland's fate is either entirely repulsive or natural. Roland is a character that lacks the will to kill himself to end it, and the hope of his redemption is disgusting to some and real to others.
It's a perfect storm to counter lit's atmosphere, untenable really, yet so attractive because the world is truly amazing and a testament to King's talent as an artist.
And for the record I'm pro /'lit/ suicide cult, the fucking shadows of the world outside my room form arrows pointing out the windows when I wake up each night.

link's awakening. a true gem.
>>7482543
>carbon copy of a character from a cartoon show made years after the book was written but i am going to claim that's where he got the idea from
fypfy
