it's his best book, and it's cozy as fuck
and the frame narrative is set at christmas and the whole thing has the tone of a shaggy dog dale told around a roaring fire at christmastime

is this pretty good and maybe just a tad overrated? i don't browse /lit/ at all and am wondering if this is a "meme" response like so many other recommendations that plague other boards because i went ahead and googled it and it actually sounds pretty interesting
