Does the count-down on the inside jacket of this edition of Gravity's Rainbow play into the launch sequence of a rocket idea, AND into the idea of a "Printer's Key" identifying this as the second edition of GR?
Brilliance, or coincidence?

The printer's key is a countdown from 10 to 1 in reverse usually on the inside jackets of books. It is meant to identify what printing it is of the book. So, if it is the books third print/edition, it will countdown from 10 to 3. I believe this is the second official printing of GR, with that Viking Press orange cover being the first. This countdown ties into the idea of a missile launch, but it also works affectively as a printer's key, I believe.
