Which author's translation do I buy?
Which is the truest to the original?
I have the Penguin Classics edition above and, although I haven't read any other translations, I sometimes get the feeling the translator may have romanticised some of his notes. I just find it hard to believe someone would write so formally and superfluously to themselves.

Penguin is a good translation, but the most true is Farquharson's, which is the Everyman's Library edition
