Isn't the pronoun thing super easy to deal with if you just call everyone ma'an? If they want to hear ma'am or man it falls on them.

That won't exactly work. "Man" still has a quite a long A, not actually much shorter than "ma'am". So you'd probably have to pronounce it "maɱ", with an m/n like in "symphony". The first one, that's written as an m, the second one is pronounced as a regular n, unless you have someone with really odd pronounciation who might pronounce it "syɱfoɲi"
