Truly the most Asian way to kill myself after I discovered I didn't have the courage to make a proper slice with a knife. Turns out I didn't have the courage to properly use the sword either and Dad came home early for the attempts anyway.

After that, began having dreams every 2-3 weeks about throwing myself off a cliff by the sea. The dreams always had a man tell me not to jump, me telling him it's too late for people like me, me looking down and seeing the coast guard have a safety net deployed in the water, and then me throwing myself sideways off the cliff face and mangling myself to death on the rocks. Psych was definitely weirded out by my suicidal ideation. I always joked with my best friend at the time that if I go missing he could find my corpse by the beach getty. In hindsight, I was fucked up from repression.

Major depressive disorder diagnosis. I starve myself on purpose when I get bad but don't actually have an eating disorder, hence the self-harm star. An honest belief that people would be better off without me. Persistent apathy, utter lack of concern for self. Chronic sleep issues. Inability to picture the future.
