Mine is Max, but I felt Max could be gender neutral so I am not sure whether to keep it or go with Maxine.
You could make Maxine your "official" name and keep going by Max for short.
My birth name is gender neutral but I'm thinking of changing it to something femme because I hate it when people get defensive about misgendering me because my name can also be a boy's name.

My name is drew(mtf) so I'm just keeping it as drew, I don't care if it's masculine, in my heart I'm a drew
>>8775887
Good for you, I love how confident and comfortable with yourself you are!
Even though my name is gender neutral, I'm probably going with the name my parents told me they had picked out for if I was a girl, just because finding out at 12 then using the initials for years as my windows 95 password is my earliest "egg-like behavior" memory.
Your in the wrong board kiddo

Funny coincidence,
Deadname is Sean, name is Rachel
It just so happens I look uncannily like Sean Young, who plays Rachel, the replicant girl in Blade Runner. This didn't occur to me until much later tho.

my name is Wolf, but i felt wolf could be a gender neutral name so i am not sure whether to keep it or go with Wolverine
>>8775927
What on earth is gender neutral
>>8775926
Blade Runner is vital transgender media. My closest trans friend wants Roy Batty's "tears in the rain" speech tattooed on her back
>>8775927
Where do you live where your parents would name you wolf?

People ask why not start with an M at least, but I wanted to abandon that life altogether and hope people don't recognize me until I'm ready.
>>8775887
Woah, that's my name too and I'm a pre-hrt mtf......are you me from the future?
>>8775964
Yeah, Blade Runner has always been a fave. The connection went entirely over my head though, lol
I really like this name that starts with the same initial as dead name but I kind of would like to get rid of the association too what do

Until now! I bet it feels nice. That's how you know it was meant to be!

Mona
MtF. I've been on HRT for about 9 or 10 months by now. I spent a lot of time figuring out what I want my name to be and went through some pretty (pardon the word) cringey options before settling on something short, concise, and elegant. Reaction has been pretty positive.
>>8776075
Where the hell did you pull Mona from?
What country are you from?
>>8776105
US. It's a name that I've known a couple of women by, that's all. There's nothing really special about it, but I think it's pretty.
It's a rather old lady name, but my friends joke that I'm an old lady in a young person's body anyways. I'm okay with it.
>>8775926
Didn't she also play a tranny in Ace Ventura?
>>8776133
Mona's a really nice name, desu. I'm afab and have an old lady name too (Faye) but it suits me well. If I ever adopted a daughter I would give her an old name too, like Eleanor or Agnes.
>>8776136
Yeah lol, it's highly, highly ironic.
That movie wasn't exactly trans positive but I mean at least she wasn't honning it up.
>>8776142
Mona isn't that abnormal
>>8776141
Eleanor is a gorgeous name. I'm glad to see other people like old lady names. Beatrice is another personal favorite that I considered.
name is gender neutral because not white ;^)
hrt idk mayb when im absolutely crushed by dysphoria cuz i wanna put off looking like a hon
Marlon->Marcy (Marceline)

I've actually found having a gender-neutral name really helpful in terms of not causing a stir when I pass/don't pass. You can always go by Max for now and swap to Maxine later.
You will get annoying assholes asking what your middle name is to try to stealth gender you, though. I'm Chris(topher) Alex(ander) (mtf) so I get a lot of trololololl out of that. People start freaking out when they can't immediately gender you for certain and it's so hilarious to watch that it helps take the sting out of not passing.

Aric
Ari

Three weeks ago.
Considering ariadne as an official name because I'm a huge nerd.
>>8775833
Dead name is Akira (which is read as æ in japanese), but I'm changing it to Akemi (which is read as æįž) which is just a one character addition to my current name. While I am Japanese, I live in the US so I technically wouldn't ever need to write my name in kanji here.
