So what does /lgbt/ think about the new generation being the most socially conservative, including in regards to gay marriage and trans rights, in nearly a century?
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3790614/They-don-t-like-drugs-gay-marriage-HATE-tattoos-Generation-Z-conservative-WW2.html
I'm fine with fiscally conservatives and being unlikely to take drugs or get tattoos, but it could be bad for them to be so anti-lgbt so young, since people tend to just get more conservative as they age. One day they'll be in charge of the government, after all.
It's the best thing that could possibly have happened to the USA
Hopefully they gas all you mentally ill fucks

There's a chamber just for you, faggot

I dunno where this stuff comes from, the new generation is not only still very young but they're definitely not going to be conservative in the end. Especially not with Trump making a fool of himself and the party every day.
I've seen a lot of newspapers talking about it, but never any actual study. I'd like to see what the questions were, how they asked them, how many people were involved, where people were asked... so on and so forth.
Good. I hate drugs and drug culture and I think tattoos are absolute shit.

This is millenials own doing for being so degen and believing that thought policing is a way to convert people into supporting your cause.
Conservatism is counter-culture. That's what we've to come to now. Especially to the so called counter-culture of leftists that are propped up by MSM, corporations, and media alike.
>inb4 gtfo /pol/tard
I'm a trans person that browses /lgbt/ saying this. LGBT millenials failed in normalizing LGBT people as a whole and instead made themselves to be exceptional and to be wedged into everything and applauded for their actions. When in fact the goal should've been to not have focused on saying "HEY LOOK AT ME!" but rather be normal enough to be a part of society with no issues. You can't make people bend backwards for you to get your pronouns right or remember your sexuality. People only care because you make it big thing.
People should never have the core of their identities be a supposed identity be it race, gender, or sexuality. It swallows you up and makes you a caricature of a person and group.
So this was bound to happen anyways and we'll see where it goes. It's certainly better than the shit that's being fed to us by MSM and social media.
>conservative views on gay marriage, transgender rights and drugs
And what are these views?
Funny, I've heard the younger generations to be more conservative on just about every issue BUT LGBT.
If they grow up larger conservative and live-and-let-live about LGBT and looking down on the Millennial snowflakes >>8699739 mentioned, then I'm extremely happy with this trend. I'd really like to see the "gay community" (such as it is) be more monogamous, less degenerate, and more concerned with our place in our nations. So hopefully it goes in that direction.

The article said they don't like gay marriage, not sure if this is wishful thinking but I agree that this is probably the most ideal course that the LGBT community could wish for

Youth will always rebel against the status quo. The cultural status quo ("normies") of the previous generation has been very left leaning. When you look at the patronizing SJW millennials of today, they're not much different than the Republicans of the 80s and early 90s, who wanted to ban heavy metal and claimed Pokemon promoted devil worship.
Basically, the political and social views are secondary to not wanting to be yelled at by overly sensitive authoritarians who can't even take a fucking joke.

It's only very recently that countercultural movements have been any sort of thing. Before WW2, you didn't have entire generations of kids reacting against their parents lifestyles. It is, in reality, a factor of increased urbanization. In 1940 farmers were 18% of the population. By 1960 they were 8%. By 1970, they were just 4.6%. All those kids growing up in interconnected cities and suburbs allowed for youth ideas to disseminate and spread on scale that had not been seen thus.
>claimed Pokemon promoted devil worship
This was an Onion article you tard.

Are you 12?
It was a huge thing in the 90s.

It's because it's contrarian right now. They'll grow out of it eventually.
I was like that too but I grew out of being a childish reactionary when I was like 13.

>claimed Pokemon promoted devil worship
>This was an Onion article you tard.
As someone who lived through the initial pokemon craze and the tail-end of anti-Dungeons and Dragons hatred by Religious Fundamentalists, I can assure you, you don't know what the hell you're talking about.
>>8702512
The point is that the post was factually incorrect. Pokemon being portrayed as Satanic was not just, in fact, an Onion article.
>>8702512
>Point out you're wrong
>WOW FUCKING 90'S KIDS HOW DARE YOU HAVE BEEN BORN DURING A ~20 YEAR PERIOD THAT CAN BE CONSTRUED AS '90'S KIDS' AND CITE A SOURCE AGAINST MY UNSUBSTANTIATED CLAIM REEE
If that number keeps growing I hope Trump launches the nukes because it means we fucked up hard
>>8702487
>it's contrarian
this is also why /pol/'s so popular outside 4chan all of a sudden
The current nazis are generally mid 20s to 30s and they haven't exactly advertised themselves well
In the UK it seemed like young people, who are a bit fucked compared to people 10 15 years older are very left

Maybe the national socialist party will make a comeback
>>8699282
They are the most gay generation so far. I am not gonna buy the Daily Mail's take on matters.
>>8702676
>>8699282
They're mostly young and edgy "lol pepe , look how hard I'm trolling, liberal tears xD" retards right now, which comes with age so I don't blame them, they'll likely grow out of it.
>>8702679
That's kinda stupid though. If someone is a 5 on the Kinsey scale they're still considered gay. They just chose to conduct the study in a way that made people answer "would you ever, under any circumstances imaginable, even consider finding someone if the same sex attractive?"
Without the stigma that was in the past, teenagers are logically going to be less inhibited to say "sure. I could see that happening".
Hardly means they're gayer.
