Ironically, it's just because women tell them not to. Trans lesbians always seem to be dating cis lesbians, there's no reason being straight to ever have to settle for a bisexual man/disfigured man (short, beta etc.) or an FTM.

But yeah, some of these people are incredibly creepy. I had one guy who was attracted to me because I was "helpless" and wanted to "protect me" from the bad evil world.

Even if a guy is genuinely attracted to the feminine parts of transwomen and nothing else, if they think the dick is the only manly part of them they need to ignore, they are in for a rude surprise. Most of them have never met a real transwomen in person, let alone felt or anything intimate and had to realize just how much still feels and looks like a man.

No trannies pass for the sex they're pretending to be. Even the best passing trannies who transition early and have tens of thousands of dollars worth of plastic surgery still are obviously trannies. All trannies have this sort of uncanny valley thing going on that makes it impossible to mistake them for someone who's actually the sex they're trying to imitate.

Of course they do, hon! It's social acceptance that's the problem. We do have a lot of work to do, though, and so do straight men. Society has conditioned them into believing we're weird "others." We aren't taken seriously. Worse, they don't think about what we want. They don't know that we want them; a lifetime exposed to ciswomen's cisprivilege has left men believing women don't want men. So, we have to let'em know.
