Misgendering isn't really the right term though, because what otherkin identify isn't exactly a "gender", is it? Unless of course one is both otherkin and trans.

Again though, it usually lists "sex" or "gender", not "species" or whatever the term for otherkin identities would be. It seems more like there's just a lack of a place to put information on being otherkin, rather than being not allowed to state it. I would think the sex/gender of otherkin would be male, female, and various norms of non-binary, just as it is for non-otherkin. Otherkin identity is basically orthagonal to gender identity.

Yes. You are not allowed to eat or interact with the other animals. You can't bark howl or make animal noises, you pretty much have to stay in the closet 100%.

It's the same sentiment. Tarns get to be called what they are, otherkin do not.
