No it's not normal, most people are turned on by porn and celebrities and stuff, even if they don't actually want to have sex with them. A lot of trans people do report being basically asexual up until transitioning though, due to dysphoria.

A demisexual has basically the same experience as someone who is totally asexual, except for the handful of people they're close enough to be attracted to. I think that while what you describe is part of the Ace spectrum, the Ace community is too small to start dividing it up like the Gay and Lesbian communities have done.

I used to think that p. much all allos end up demi as a normal part of human sexuality. This is known as "settling down", where you stop going out to clubs and the like, looking to sow oats/get plowed and just want to find someone stabe-ish to spend multiple years with, either ending in death or divorce.
