Feminism is cancer? More like feminists deserve cancer.

>>8372223
It's an explanation of an alternate model of why trans women are AGP, but it is missing the part where it looks into evidence that distinguishes between it and the Blanchardian model. This means that the thread is just an assertion, rather than a true counterargument.

Is this mommy Magdalen? The one with the brain tumor?
>>
>>8372235
No, that's Magdalen Berns, this is Magdalene Visaggio.

This Mag is mtf, anti-TERF and defends AGP in her own "post pages of A4 broken into 140 character tweets that can't even be displayed in one go" way.
>>
I thought AGP was a stupid meme, but apparently you take it seriously?

"Why do so many trans women eroticize femininity or have transformation fetishes?" Let's discuss.

Implicit in this question, which I often see leveled by *fucking TERFS* is the assumption that transition is itself an erotic act. And this line of thinking is *super easy* to go down; one of the MAIN REASONS i didn't transition for so long was because i thought it was just a stupid sex thing. But its not. I guarantee you most trans women aren't going around in a state of near constant debilitating arousal.
>another mtf screwed over by the JamesMcCloCon

So first, one, yes, let's be upfront: trans women *very often* eroticize gender fuckery before they transition. There are lots of reasons that could be the explanation, but here's how I think about it: why do people eroticize shame? So so so so many people have humiliation and punishment fetishes, and in a lot of ways, cross-gender fetishization functions the same way. You spend your *whole life* feeling *shitty* about this. You wanna be a girl, but you can't, and you've been trained as a "boy" to think girls are lesser than boys. So the assumption becomes that to want to be a girl is to want something degrading.
>not knowing agp comes before it's becomes shameful or sexualized

So we don't *want* to want it -- but we *do want it*. So we sublimate it, shoving into a corner where the *only place* we can deal with it is with weird jerk off fantasies. And actually this shit starts pretty tame; you hit puberty and suddenly this shit is operating in your brain, to paraphrase @imogenbinnie, the way you think pussy is supposed to. You sexualize your identity because, well, it's...the way you want to have sex. But you can't admit that to yourself (either you won't let yourself or its honestly not super clear to you), so it pops up in these weird other ways. @JuliaSerano calls this stuff "female embodiment fantasy," and hey it turns out that a lot of cis women get turned on by the thought of themselves *as women* too, according to studies done on the matter.
>muh Moser

And fucking desu? It's super not weird to get sexy feelings by the thought of yourself in a sexual capacity. When het dudes watch porn, they're definitely turned on by the dudes in there too, not because they want to have sex with them, but because they are *visualizing themselves as them* in this context. Sex is super contextual! There's a you, and a they, and a relationship between your bodies! But when your body doesn't make a lick of sense it gets super fucking difficult to find a healthy context for it, ESPECIALLY when your sense of embodiment/the body you *want* is so caught up in shame. To paraphrase Binnie again, when you can't have something you want, you get all weird about it. Especially when its you not letting you have it.
>so so close to admitting ETLEs are the explanation of the faceless man
>>
>>8372223
>>8373415
>>8373421
(3/3)
So you're 13, confused as hell, and you get hard when you imagine you're a girl. What other lessons can you draw from it other than the fact that you're a deranged weirdo with a secret no one must ever know? So now there's all this EXTRA shame piled on top of everything; "i'm not just a freak; I'm a pervert." And man that will *fuck you up*. And not only that, you increasingly internalize the male-centric sexuality that the world shoves at you every day -- women are sex objects, women are to be desired and taken -- and you both try to participate in it, but also weirdly internally self-apply those standards to *yourself* and how you view yourself *as a woman*. Because you aren't GETTING healthy modeling about how to be a girl. You're getting modeling about how to be a shithead dude.
>not knowing about aaps

So you turn to weird TG erotica to fucking cope with this weird part of you that doesn't make any goddamn sense, and then you find ALL THESE STORIES where guys are transformed into girls against their will but it turns out pretty okay for them, which by extension absolves YOU, as the self-inserting reader, of responsibility for making the choice to transition. You get to be a girl, but its not your fault, and nobody blames you, which means nobody will reject or judge you. This stuff can sublimate into crossdressing, into all matter of gender fuckery, all in search of a safe place where you can kinda know but also kinda not know that you're a girl. It's involved, but it's the opposite of complicated.
>but if you were an hsts you'd perceive yourself as a girl from the start and not need transformation

BTW. I do threads like this about trans shit in large part to help me sort out and concretize my thinking as much as to educate.

That's what everyone does on Twitter, like those black people who spend 50 tweets telling a story about their crazy ex-gf.

Not like the Blanchardian argument has any evidence for it either. Did you know that Blanchard used 9 people - 9 - as proof that people who deny being AGP are actually AGP? 9 old crossdressers got aroused by listening to a crossdressing story.
