Agreed. A lot more people are harmed because of repressing than are harmed by making a mistake in transitioning. I'm guessing a lot of those who detransition do so because repression caused them to wait too long to start HRT, and are unhappy with the results.

Im a tru AGP. I have both anatomic and interpersonal mild dysphoria.
But I am back on repression mode after 6 months of HRT. My dysphoria isn't too bad and I can cope with it by being andro/femboy. Strangers tells me I look like a girl although im not presenting female and not on HRT anymore. Im kinda okay with where im at. You don't have to taking HRT just because you are tru AGP. There can be alternative ways to reduce dysphoria.

IDK what will happen as I age masculine tho. I might grow out of it or maybe I might become a suicdal tranny which gives me more valid reason to transition.

Detransitioning is rare but non-zero. Detransitioning and considering the initial transition a life-ruining error is even rarer and basically only happens to people who join weird cults/'find Jesus'.

Problems due to being unable to transition are at least an order of magnitude more common.

I need to get my cites organized, but I would say that almost everyone who doesn't transition early is harmed in some way. You miss out on teenage socialization, hormones don't work as well, dysphoria and the effects of puberty gradually destroy you mentally to the point where ending it all becomes an option. Then when you do start HRT/transitioning you have to undo all the mental baggage you accumulated. Repressing might work for someone with very mild dysphoria but if you have severe dysphoria, especially if it started before puberty and gets worse after puberty starts, repressing is just going to ruin you.
