Thank you for the link to the study. I quickly read through the meat of it (methods, control group, etc). It doesnt list how long the study was drawn out which seems to be a pretty important factor though. They admitted that there arent any good studies done on Transgender children, and the results of this study might only be looking at short term health. Its hard to say how theyll be in 5 years.

I will admit it does seem logical to say that children who are transgender will have an easier time without depression and the like because they are still in their developmental stage of their life. I will read more into it, but either way its hard for me to grasp the legality of allowing a kid to get a sex change. The only arguments ive heard against mine is

Well i couldnt really give you any advice on it (not that youre asking for it) but ive read a lot of testimonies of people considering going through HRT and they saw a therapist to first try and be satisfied with themselves before going through the process and ended up coming out without wanting to anymore. They had to actually WORK to be satisfied with themselves alongside the therapist, but for everyone who talks about it seems to think they wouldve made a big mistake. Its obviously subjective though

Keep in mind some kids have already gone through this and they're adults now. They're happy about the fact they were given treatment. These are just about one girl, but read these three articles and tell me what you think. You can also look at Kim Petras, who should be around 26 by now, and Nicole Maines who may be 20-ish.

Like most illnesses, treating it is better than just leaving it alone. IF you're trans, it's better to transition (the only real treatment we have right now) than to try and repress, because if you're trans, you won't be able to repress forever.
