It's a long story. Started in maybe 2013, can't remember, wanted to start a business in something and drones were the hot new wave. Wanted one that could follow me on my bike with snacks, /n/ laughed and said it couldn't be done. Spent ages trying to put a petrol engine in one (better power density), gave up on that, focused on just making more efficient electric ones instead, that was going well to the point where I could probably abandon the bike altogether and fly around on the drone Aladdin style but ran out of money and caught up in transition and the whole desire to start a tech business was mainly borne out of repression anyway so my interest in it waned. I've found that everyone in the know fits into two camps, there's the /sci/ mindset of working on hobby equipment with basic maths is beneath them and there's the /diy/ mindset of maths is boring they just wanna tinker and have fun.
