We use these terms often to separate "males" and "females" such as when they go to their bathroom or when their sex organs are exposed.

Since the "males" and "females" follow a fairly regular different distribution in body size, spacial awareness, bone structure, and strength, we generally separate "males" and "females" for things like athletics, as well have different societal standards for each when it comes to committing violence towards others.

Except it's not just then that you separate them. You separate them in millions of ways when it should be irrelevant, from law to language to clothing, right down to pronouns.

This is what a lot of feminists and even TERFs argue for, gender abolition. I think it sounds great. For females in the west it basically already exists, they are almost completely free to wear whatever and do whatever, so it really just comes down to males standing up for their right to wear dresses and makeup. One thing that throws a wrench in it is that males are exposed to testosterone which makes people all bald and hairy and ugly, so if you want to try and be aesthetic and kawaii as a male you kind of have to mutilate your testicles.
