This song was on the charts as I was trying to come to grips of approaching puberty as a boy wanting to be a girl. It resonated because I was growing up in a resort community. I knew I'd never have children of my own, the chance of getting a husband and having a normal life was near nil. Only one of the over dozen+ trannies I knew had a steady long term partner. Then when it hit the charts again, I was being flown all over the world to meet with my lovers. So it resonated even more with me. The husband of the couple I was mistress to was the one who found me a doc willing to prescribe hormones to an under 18 tranny.

It's also as if this song is linked to me. Every time I drive across up state NY, I'll end up tuning into at least one radio station and have it play within the next few songs.
