Take HRT. Testosterone is going to be terrible for your psyche in the long run. A lot of anxiety and frustration will dissolve; within weeks of starting HRT I was significantly calmer. In the long term who knows, maybe you'll end up becoming feminine enough to actually present female.

iktf op, but honestly despite transitioning after 25, i still get ma'amed on the regular. i'm not gonna tell you not to lose hope when i have a hard time keeping hope alive myself, but the very least you can do is try. hair, voice, clothing and makeup count for a lot

Does that mean you still get clocked? I feel like not passing all the time defeats the whole purpose of transitioning. Most people will probably be polite and pity pass you, but getting misgendered even once after "passing" probably cuts really deep. That's what I'm scared of.
