Why do trannies have body image issues so much? Like beyond wanting

Because I can never let go of my flaws, and being skinny is the only thing I ever get complimented for so I cling desperately to the one good thing I have. It's hard not to have issues when being ashamed of your body is so ingrained.

It could be somewhat connected to the dysphoria in some way. A friend of mine who's trans says that to her, part of being a woman is being thin, and so she sort of obsesses over it, thus anorexia.

Being trans can cause a disconnect between a person and their body. I often fantasize about losing limbs or being torn apart because i see my body not as who i am, but a prison im trapped in.

Tons of people have body issues. Trans people, not being quite able to have the body they wish to have, would have crazy body issues. Same with women. Same with a lot of guys, but guys repress it for other reasons.

It's kind of like having the entire proprioceptive map skewed in subtle but niggling ways, and it's not exactly conscious, just percolates up into awareness, like seeing something only out of the corner of your eye.
