What's the prospect of liver damage when taking hormone pills?
Got prescribed gel initially, but over the months my skin has started to dislike it and gotten really itchy to the point where I'm scratching it to rashes.
Can't get patches because they're out of production here.
Options are pills or injection, really don't want injections because fuck that.
So I'm leaning on pills, but my friend is calling me retarded because she thinks I'll basically annihilate my liver and die, but I'd rather do that than needles.
What is the reality of the liver damage? I don't drink, smoke or do other drugs, otherwise completely healthy.
Unless you need a super large dose for some reason it will take years for pills to really affect your liver

Estrogen pills? Provided it's not premarin you're fine. Also 17b estradiol can be taken under the tongue bypassing the first liver pass, greatly reducing the liver damage. Also injections are the superior form of estrogen, but currently we're on a shortage so rip.

Of course I'm looking at long term, don't expect complications before like 50-60, at which point I feel like it might as well happen.

I'm also scandi and not burger, so will probably get completely different pills.

No you wont. You'll get bioidentical estradiol. Either with an ester (valerate) or by itself.

Get estradiol valerate (estrofem) and take it sublingually to bypass your liver.
