The problem with Susan's is they are the antithesis of early transition, for themselves or anyone else. They don't permit any information about self-medding and if you post there as as a minor, they'll tell you you're too young and need to think it over more first (like once puberty has fucked you over). In contrast, /lgbt/ will help minors by giving them info to let them know all their options and the timeframe they have to work with. It's a shame Susan's was the first of the two to exist, and by a relatively large span of time. A kid who comes across /lgbt/ is much luckier than one who comes across Susan's.

First of all I'm not american. Anyway the mere idea that children are put into transition just because they "like dresses and dolls" is an Alex Jones-tier conspiracy theory.

Also daily reminder that:
- Transition is always supposed to be done under medical supervision
- ESPECIALLY for young children, they need a psychologist and/or a psychiatrist approval before transition
(yes, they actually make sure they don't have crazy parents who are pushing them to transition)
- No kind of medical transition are made on children apart for puberty blockers when they need them
- Puberty blockers and hormones are two different things. Puberty blockers are fully reversible and are used to delay puberty. In the case of very young transition, hormones come way later
- Medical transition and social transition also are two different things. The super-early transitioners you see on media are just socially transitioned, medical transition only come later
- Genital surgery is ONLY done when they are 18 or older, unless under very special circumstance.

Since the mtf community places such a high value on passing, it naturally affects how those who can and who can't interact in trans communities. People who pass are typically more valued, just like attractive women are more valued than non-attractive ones.
