Straight dude confused questions....

So on Tinder more or less to just make friends honestly top busy for relationship but there isn't exactly a friend finder app the size of tinder.

For about 5 months I was getting no likes I'm not exactly a hotty and I explicitly put in my bio I wanted friends over relationships or hook ups so this was no shocker.

Then I looked in settings and saw a "make profile viewable by males" i mean shit I'm just looking for friends so I figure why not. BOOM install likes and super likes come raining in from smoking hot dudes. Like wash board abs fit and super attractive, honestly what I'd consider way the fuck put of my league if I was into guys. Important to note is that all these guys liking and super liking me blatantly state they are into "advetures, hook ups, and good times" and pretty much none of them share any of my intrests.

So my question is, what gives? Are pickings just so slim guys take shots with anyone who so much as offers the possibility? I know it's not my looks or is it just other guys who think I'm gay and thus want to hang out using that as a common intress?

i honestly have no idea. my bf is the first one ive ever felt love for, and since meeting him 7 years ago i havent been interested in anyone else either. he looks pretty much like a normal guy, nothing too special, but even though i mostly fell for his wonderful personality, i gotta say i often jerked off to his facebook pics before asking him out. i know hes probably pretty average, but something in his lovely features just makes my heart race.

i would imagine there being more dating platforms available these days, and also more uncloseted faggots looking for company openly, so i doubt its the size of the pickings. maybe you just look good? are you brave enough to post a pic of yourself?
