In hindsight that's a ridiculous thing to say though obviously, considering that gay marriage didn't even become legal until 2015. I would assume it will take at least another couple generations before we could expect to see transgender related experiences / feelings normalized in our society to the point that most children's intuition / implicit expectation wouldn't be to hide / repress their feelings. Who knows maybe it will take longer, it feels hard to gauge.

I don't think we are on any brink of a new era, two generations is a long time, and that doesn't even feel like a generous assumption, it could be much longer. However I just don't buy into the idea that a society that accepts transgender related experiences / narratives will ever have any thing but a small minority of late transitioners, (and by late i mean early - mid 20s) and that such a society will / can never exist. What do you think would be the necessary requirements in a society for late transitioners to become a small minority of trans people?

I see pieces of my worldview. Basically i'm a large masc AGP neanderthal who would of liked to be a girl. But being a tranny is not worth it unless young and cute, even then it might not be worth it. Because I've felt AGP and varying amounts of gender dysphoria for at least 20 years(in my 30s currently). According to some people here that makes me trans to some degree whether I like it or not.

I originally arrived here from an anti transgender background and was secure in my knowledge that transgenderism was a lie and AGPs are mentally ill fetishist straight perverts. From reading /lgbt/ I've learnt transgenderism and AGP in general is much more complex than I first thought.
