I've had at least one silver hair growing out of my head since I was in elementary school. Recently I noticed I have two. I'm 22 and I don't think it's a big deal.

I just pulled a single silver strand of hair out of my head and now my head hurts.

I've had gray hairs since I was very little.
They never went away and was always annoying because someone would say "Hey anon you have lint in your hair, hold still" and then I'd snake their hand away and explain. This is pretty much why I would think be surprised if I see more in the future. Then again I'm like 30 so I may not live long enough to see more.

This happens to a lot of young people. My mom found a grey hair on my head when I was 16. I started sprouting gray hair more noticeably when I got into my early 20's. My cousins are a bit younger and they have the same issue.

It's because premature graying is a problem on my mom's side of the family. Her grandfather had a full head of gray hair once he turned 30. You're not old, it's just unfortunate genetics. Like how some men start balding in their teens. Plus, hair dye is always an option.
