Is sexual attraction determined by what genitals you're attracted to, or being attracted to the gender that someone identifies as?
Should a straight female have an obligation to find a trans ftm that identifies as male attractive?
>>
It's a combination of factors, and people spend way too much time overthinking it.

genitals
>>

We'll just because someone identifies as a gender it doesn't mean that they look like that gender, and sexual attraction is PRIMARILY about looks.
I'm a gay man and I've seen pictures of really hot looking ftm's but the moment I find out their trans the attraction immediately disappears.
I can't imagine myself having sex with them or dating them, and it's not because they don't have penises, I personally don't like penises, it's because they were once female.
So in my head they are still female, which I know is wrong...
Just the idea of touching a female ass, kissing female skin is just a massive boner kill.
I'm not transphobic at all, I love trans people, but you can't help sexual attraction.
>>
Nobody is obligated to find anyone attractive.
>>
>>7982907
If that's the case, what is the sexual orientation of a person who is sexually attracted to post-op trans people?
>>
>>7982900
>Should a straight female have an obligation to find a trans ftm that identifies as male attractive?
Is he an HSTS or an AAP?
>>
>>7982900
It's neither. I think rather it's overall looks, sound, and the impression one has of a person's personality, instead of a that person's own identity and the actual genitals, although genitals can play a role for some people, but for open-minded people it's not really a problem considering strapons and anal sex are a thing.
>>
>>7982913
chaser cause neo-puccis don't look like real vajayjay
>>
>>7982919
>impression one has of a person's personality
But people identify based on the concept of straight and gay, or het/homo - I don't see how those labels make sense if they aren't connected to either biological sex or cultural gender
>>
>>7982935
I don't understand what you mean by that. I just meant that some people might be attracted to people with a dominant personality, or to people with a cute personality, or people with a masculine or feminine personality. How an object of love identifies should play no role in attraction, but the personality does matter. I've been told by all of my past partners that they loved my cute personality, and even I care about my partner's personality, for example. I'm not gonna feel attracted to some retard.
>>
>>7982964
>some people might be attracted to people with a dominant personality, or to people with a cute personality, or people with a masculine or feminine personality
And what label do they use for their sexual identity if they're attracted to those traits rather than typical sex/gender characteristics (which is what the het/bi/homo identities are linked to)?
>>
>>7982991
Why bother with a label? What I'm saying is, just because you're a straight woman or a gay man doesn't mean you're attracted to every single man, and even bisexuals aren't attracted to everyone. Everyone has their own personal tastes so nobody has an obligation to be attracted to someone for their identity.

One important thing that people like you seem to forget is that a label is meant to describe something, not define it.
>>
>>7983159
>Why bother with a label?
Sometimes people ask you what your sexuality is. How do you suggest these people respond without giving a verbal essay about the specific types of personalities they're attracted to? That's the purpose of labels, they are a generalization for the sake of simplicity

>people like you
I don't appreciate this tone and reject whatever you're trying to imply by this

>a label is meant to describe something, not define it
I never suggested otherwise
>>
>>7983170
Huh, I misunderstood what you said then.
I haven't slept in a long time so maybe that's it.
Personally I just say that I'm bi or that I don't really know.
>>
>>7982900
Look up the video "a billion wicked thoughts" it's a study about porn and what straigh women and men look for with their sexual cues. The vagina is not a sexual cue for straight men, men aren't actually attracted to it's look
>>
>>7983238
I've seen that video myself and I think you misunderstood the video. He clearly stated that the vagina is most likely a highly ranked sexual cue for men, but they simply weren't able to include it in the ranking because it was more difficult to research than the less obvious stuff.
>>
>>7983254
>because it was more difficult to research than the less obvious stuff.
Huh?
>>
>>7983278
He says it in the video, do I really need to repeat it?
Vaginas appear in literally all straight porn that they researched aside from shemale porn. As such they were unable to conclude if it was related to arousal, because it wasn't considered a "kink".
I'm pretty sure he said something like that in the video. And when asked about it by a student after the lecture, he explained that vaginas were probably ranked like number 1 or 2 or something but it just wasn't something they really looked into.
>>
>>7983329
It should be easy to do softcore porn that doesn't show puss.
>>
>>7983340
Well apparently they didn't.
>>
>>7983352
Jeez. It's weird, I like the implication of vagina with shots of nice smooth panties or bikinis.
>>
>>7983238
Lots of guys are into pussies specifically.
It's just that they don't say it out loud because it's a bit uhh graphic?
>>
>>7982900
Well ultimately it's neither of these.
If your soul is predominantly feminine, you will be attracted to those with a predominantly masculine soul. Genitals obviously come into it, because gays don't fuck lesbians. The genitals are a symbol of femininity or masculinity.
>>
>>7983429
>soul
that's not a real thing anon

The way I've always seen it is, if it looks feminine, being attracted to it counts as being attracted to a woman.

if it looks masculine, being attracted to it counts as being attracted to a man.

Genitals aren't really important in my eyes. They're not something you see until you're about to get sexual with someone, and at that point you must have been attracted to each other.
>>
>>7982900
Where is the character in the picture from?
>>
>>7982900
both. in order to be 100% straight, you have to only be attracted to the genitals, form, and gender identity of those of the other gender. in order to be 100% homosexual, you have to only be attracted to the form, genitals, and gender identity of your same gender. anything in between is a gradient of bisexual.
>>
>>7982900
>Is sexual attraction determined by what genitals you're attracted to, or being attracted to the gender that someone identifies as?

neither

they're attracted to either the genitals only, or the rest of the body surrounding it. oftentimes they can put aside their lack of attraction to one of these things if they like the person enough otherwise.
