Well lets brainstorm. What do we all have in common? Male upbringing. What are men? Strong, indepdent, secure, stoic, etc. Women are often defined by men as the opposite*. Weak, dependent, insecure, hedonistic, etc. So with a male socialization probably comes that view of what femininity is.
