Okay, so I've come to my final hang up.
I'm terrified of AIDS. Like sex is cool, but not that cool. What are the actual chances of getting HIV if I hook up with someone of the same sex?
50/50
you either get it or you don't

>Be a top, bottoms are drastically more likely to catch something due to the nature of anal sex
>Wear a condom. Only an idiot would enter battle un-armed, only an idiot would have sex with strangers without protection.
Ta-da, your chances of getting AIDS have been reduced drastically!

is right though.

Not being all /pol/ here, but you are legit more likely to get it if black or with a lot of black men. CDC even agrees with me. But generally speaking, as long as it isn't nonstop strangers and you wear a condom you're solid.
t. bi white guy who is super into black tops
Here In australia its a 20 percent chance, but that might be for HIV not aids
Just use a condom and you're safe. If you're a carpet muncher then you won't get it anyway.

I've had bareback chem sex with hundreds if not over a thousand men on Grindr.
I've been an IV drug user.
I don't have HIV thank the Lord, and I really do.
I do think it's an age thing, just stay away from older men.
Or better yet wait until you're married.

You do know nowadays people can live long lives being HIV+ with medication, right?

>hiv not aids
I can't tell in you're retarded or just misinformed.
HIV + Time Untreated = AIDS
AIDS isn't a separate virus, it's the same thing.

Yes, and you can live a long live with Parkinson's disease with medication but it doesn't mean it is a great life or a painless life or a normal life.

The chances of getting HIV are very low if you use condoms or avoid anal sex and just have oral or mutual j/o.
Also, the risk is higher in big cities like New York, LA, San Diego and Chicago than it is in small towns in the midwest.
A monogamous relationship is great if you can find someone you can trust, but a lot of men still cheat so you have to be careful.
Use condoms and get tested.
If you and a monogamous partner have both tested negative 6 months apart then you can probably move on to unprotected anal sex but there is still a risk of someone being unfaithful.
Life is short and HIV is no longer a death sentence.
But you also can make smart decisions that help you avoid having a chronic, expensive disease.
