If it was somehow possible to guarantee that there wouldn't be a better option within my lifetime I'd probably get it, but with all the new medical stuff like 3D-printed organs and stem cells and gene therapy and such that's being developed, I feel like it might be better to wait.

same on the ftm end, though ftm surgeries have genuinely seen drastic improvements especially over the past 5-10 years (but even the nightmare pics you see from the late 90s/early 00s are great progress from what you got ten years before that), but people keep going 'w-well i'll wait until transplants'

tbqh thats kind of how I see it, if your dysphoria regarding your junk gets to a point in which its impossible to function in real life with out being extremely depressed or distressed all the time then surgery seems like it may be a viable option, but personally I have too much fear associated with medical procedures and considering the cost / being circumcised from birth and reading about too many horror stories, I'll just wait until something better comes along or until my dysphoria regarding my junk makes it impossible to function.

Then what's the point of having periods instead of dilations? First you cannot get more AGP than wanting periods and also you there's no way you can ever escape the reality than being trans. It took me a lot longer than this, I guess because I started kinda young so it wasn't as much on my mind as the "aaahhh male puberty" aspect. But yeah it starts getting annoying after a while, my genital dysphoria now is like ten times what it was before, it's even hard to take showers now.

Not that anon, started HRT right when I turned 18 and around 6 months HRT (when I started passing regularly) it actually started annoying me instead of "meh whatever" Just hit 1 year and been full time for a while, and it's kinda frustrating having it. Showers haven't gotten hard, but I imagine it'll get there.
Think it's partially also because my face and voice pass essentially 100%. Lasered all my facial hair off, only thing is my nose is ugly but people think it's endearing kinda. And so the only thing left to hate is my penis.
P much set on getting SRS someday and bf said he was cool with that even before I brought it up but that's a few years down the line unfortunately.
