It's not so much an exact age so much as an age category.

Peak testosterone in men is typically around 30 years of age, so I'd say at 30 you're going to have a very difficult transition.

Really, the idea of "passing" is inane. No matter how good you look, there are always angles, issues of scale, physical and emotional scars that will never let you be "not trans". Embrace that you're a little but different than most people and move on with your life.

It really just depends. I started HRT when I was 25, and even pre-HRT I was usually mistaken for a fresh-out-of-high-school 18 year old. Meanwhile, I knew guys several years longer than me who looked like fucking MEN. If you wait into your 20s to transition, you are playing russian roulette.
