Can we get a thread about dreams? I'm curious what others on /lgbt/ dream about!

>do you get nightmares
>do you have reoccurring dreams
>do you remember your dreams at all
>>
I mainly have nightmares, usually about someone trying to kill me or about me screwing up in life somehow. The most graphic one I can remember though, I saw a guy stick his arm into a planer (machine that cuts wood to thickness and smooths the surface, sort of like a wood chipper but more controlled). It chipped away at his arm for a few seconds, bloody mist spraying out, and then his arm flew off and out the other side. Then he smiled at me and stuck his other arm in.

My dreams are very vivid. I used to lucid dream like every night but that's stopped.

I started having gay dreams before coming out to my conscious but for a long time I only had straight dreams. Now they're probably an even mix.
>>
It's always night terrors or nightmares or random confusing dreams for me. Usually and still dream about my oneitis and I always wake up crying or broken about it.

I haven't had a happy dream in a while but those are the absolute worst. The bloody nightmares or the random confusing dreams are much better. Better than experiencing a tiny glimmer of happiness and waking up to see it all gone.

I remember most of my dreams. Any reocurring dreams I get are me violently killing people that look like me or me being murdered or dreams of people who I cared about that left me.

No happy stories here, sorry to start your thread off with woe and self pity.
>>
>>7844718
Jesus that's horrifying! How is your life are there people screwing with it at all or do you think these dreams are just from stress?
>>7844733
>before coming out to my conscious
What do you mean by this?
>>7844736
>still dream about my oneitis and I always wake up crying or broken about it.
awwww anon D:
Do you still have people you care about in your life?
>>
>>7844573
gay but not out here. i frequently have weird dreams that could be described as "adventures", where i meet someone i know and we go on a quest to do or get something. THOSE dreams aren't sexual, but sometimes they'll just pause in the middle and ill have a fairly submissive dream that ends in an orgasm. which is weird because im not normally interested in submissive stuff.
>>
>>7844573
>do you get nightmares
I had a nasty wake your self up with ringing ears from your own screams night terror about three years ago. Aside from that little episode, no.

>do you have reoccurring dreams
No specific dreams that recur.

>do you remember your dreams at all
tl;dr I regularly gaslight myself because I do not forget dreams.
Yes, and it can screw with my perception of reality because I can have a detailed recollection of events that never happened.
I will usually dream about really innocuous things like doing my morning routine/commuting to work/having small talk with people.
If I am lucky I wake up only to realize that none of that happened before I kick off the blankets. If I am unlucky I can go weeks recalling events that never happened.

>>7844733
I've only experienced one lucid dream.
>discover I am making out with some random stranger.
>hmm, he could be more attractive.
>rando stranger walks away and a more attractive guy walks up to continue making out.
afaict that was the only time I've felt both aware and in control of a dream.
>>
>>7844573
I dream quite often of either being female or taking hormones to become a cute mtf. I guess you could call them recurring dreams. Sadly I remember them very well when I wake up which makes me depressed for a few hours as I think that my body will never look female and my life has been a waste. There was this week when I dreamed of being a girl 4 days out of 7. Is there anyone else like me?
>>
>>7844928
Can relate. Once I had a dream that my mom accepted me. Then I woke up and cried for like 2 hours.
>>
>>7844836
Nobody. I'm always alone either because people think I'm a horrible person or I push them away anyway. I'm pretty much happier off for it. If I could live in a cabin in the middle of nowhere with no internet and just fish and grow food and live like that, I'd be happy. Or at least as close to less unhappy as I could get.
>>
>>7844836
>What do you mean by this?
My repressed attraction to men started coming out in straight porn, but I pretended I was still straight because it was just "sexual" and not "romantic" so I was safe. Then I had wet dreams with men without even any nudity, like one from just kissing. The only reason I had no romantic attraction was internalized homophobia suppressing it, and the dreams showed me that the desire existed. Nevertheless I still pretended "it was just a dream" but my homosexual feelings kept growing as my repression weakened.

Also my dreams are very entertaining, adventurous, and usually quite pleasant.

Yeah, but it along with other stuff convinced me to open up to some friends, and they've been really supportive. Eventually, I'll come out to my family and we'll see how it goes.

I keep having a reoccurring dream where my crush gives me glasses of tide/bleach to drink. She keeps the tide in her bag and sometimes hides the bag in the bottom of the laundry basket. Shes never really there though.

>do you get nightmares
Yes, almost every day. They are very graphic as well. I do not watch any horror or thrillers, but somehow I always dream about children getting chopped in half or getting their heads bashed in until their brains fall out.

>do you have reoccurring dreams
Yes, but theyre always slightly different. I sometimes get stuck in (what I call) a loop where I dream that I wake up in my bed and have to find someone who can help me get over a psychotic episode.

>do you remember your dreams at all
Almost every day.

I also sometimes experience sleep paralysis. I sometimes sleep with my eyes open. I can see my room full of hallucinations. Sometimes theyre not that bad, like dead rats everywhere. I did, however, see the 'man with the hat' and he reached his hand towards me. Then I woke up.
>>
I've dreamt I was the opposite gender in the vast majority of dreams I've had since I was a kid. I am gay, and I sometimes question, but could never see myself transitioning.
>>
>>7847299
Why do you question? Do you crossdress, have AGP fantasies, envy the girl in het couples?
>>
>>7844928
I actually dreamt of being a girl when I was younger because of the feelings that I had of wanting to be a girl. I stopped dreaming like that until I got like 6 months on hormones and was thinking about repressing and then all of a sudden I'm back to being a girl in my dreams and living completely full time. It's not possible for me to do full time because I'm a ugly hon but those dreams make me cry for hours something that so unattainable but I want it so bad.

Yes I feel the same!
I dream about being a cute girl. I wake up. I realise I look like a guy. At that point I can't even get out of bed for hours and I feel like crying all day. These dreams are so cruel because they give me what I want so badly and then when I wake up I realise it's all a lie.
>>
>>7844573
>>do you get nightmares
Sometimes. Sleeping with a plushy has all but stopped them, though.
>>do you have reoccurring dreams
No.
>>do you remember your dreams at all
Seldom for longer than a few hours.
>>
>>7844573
>do you get nightmares
constantly, at least three times a week on average. If I'm stressed out from something, they occur even more frequently.
>do you have reoccurring dreams
only reoccurring nightmares or at least some with the same theming. Mostly ultra-violence acted upon people I know in real life or plants growing into or out of my skin. When I was a child I used to dream constantly of being chased, caught and killed.
>do you remember your dreams at all
the worst (as in: the most emotionally scarring) nightmares stick with me for years. I remember one where I was sleep-paralyzed in actuality and couldn't open my eyes and I was dreaming someone had put needles through my eyelids into my pupils so that's why I couldn't open them. My eyes hurt for hours after waking up.

Sometimes I cry during my sleep and sometimes I wake up having a panic attack. I usually calm down after about a minute but it makes me really self-concious about sleeping next to someone. Stuffed animals and all that don't help anymore, either. I don't know if someone holding me would, I don't have anyone for that...

t. Femboy, broken from childhood abuse
>>
>>7844573
>do you get nightmares
I guess technically yes, I have dreams that are "negative", but I don't really consider them nightmares anymore. Nightmares were like when I was a kid and would dream about monsters eating me. Now I dream about someone shooting me or attacking me or going to school and forgetting about a big test or I start going bald or growing a cone head or something crazy, but it doesnt really feel the same, it doesn't scare me now and I actually enjoy them because I wake up feeling relieved instead of freaked out.

>do you have reoccurring dreams
Yes. I dream about breaking into/exploring old/dilapidated buildings. Most of the time they end with me finding out that someone else is there and then I run/hide from them. Occasionally they end with me trying to move in and having to deal with other people who already live there.
A similar dream is me living somewhere and discovering a door or hallway or something that leads to a huge space I never noticed before filled with all kinds of junk, and me being excited that I have more space, but then some problem arises like the space ends up belonging to someone else.

>do you remember your dreams at all
Obviously.
>>
I have reoccurring nightmares about my mothers passing. She died in a car crash and fire killed her. So I wake up with the feeling of just being extremely hot like I'm on fire I also have dreams about being alone for the rest of my life cause I look like shit
>>
>>7845049
What was the scary one about?
Somebody breaking into my house, attacking me with a claw hammer, and leaving me as a pile of broken useless screaming helpless limbs on the floor of my bedroom.
I woke up from it because I rolled out of my bed onto the hard wood floor tangled in my bed sheets. It took me a few moments of confused desperation to realize I wasn't crippled (just a half awake klutz in cheap bed sheets), and the physical pain I felt was from a three foot fall onto hardwood and not a claw hammer wielding psychopath.

I have reoccurring dreams where I have some kind of small task I need to do like get somewhere or buy food. Needing maybe $2 to take the bus or a car for a few hours to go visit someone. Always have like an omg what am I doing moment, I can just ask my mother shit shed come get me or hey its a few dollars. Feel super relived and more happy than I can describe that I can just go see someone when I want but as I drive away I see her sick frail body thats glowing and remember shes dead, then I get depressed and am stuck with a very small easily fixable problem.

I was out biking once irl and the hub/bearing on my back tire broke. I used a strangers cell phone to call her and say that I needed a ride home (was 20km away did not want to talk my broken bike). I sat at a bench and she showed up later, put my bike in the car and went home, one of the few times I had to get her to do a favor like that for me. I keep having nightmares where I'm reliving that day but I can't dial the phone number no matter how hard I try. Sometimes I get though but shes confused and not making sense, hangs up on me or just babbles. It's a sad feeling when you remember your alone and theres no one taking care of you.

I used to lucid dream when I really tried. A few times I dreamed about flying all over the place and it felt quite real, those were the best ones. Being in full control and full awarness and being able to fly like that over the lanscape is fucking great. Too bad they don't last very long.

Other than that my dreams are pretty meh and if I'm not trying to actually recall them I just don't remember them a lot. If I do I always write them down too and some times I even draw them. Pic was one of those flying dreams.

>do you get nightmares
I get rather negative dreams rather often, but I never wake up sweating/heartbeat fastening or stuff like that, I dont know if I should consider them nightmares.
>do you have reoccuring dream
I tend to very often dream about women (sexually) and zombies.
>do you remember your dreams at all
I remember them every day, because I trained to do so.
Also I have been into dream interpretation and lucid dreaming for a few years.
>>
>>7850570
Since you seem to be interested by dreams and lucid dreams,
you say your lucid dreams dont last long, have you looked up WILDs techniques? That might be the solutions, there is a lot more than flying to do in dreams.
>>
I dream of killing a lot of people. Often. Sometimes I'm in a military operation, sometimes personal kills, sometimes self-defense. Sometimes a part of my maternal instinct will be reflected. Sometimes I'm being hunted.

I am a monster. I can never have children. I should die.
>>
>do you get nightmares
Not exactly, it's more like I get caught.

>do you have reoccurring dreams
Not really, when they do happen, they tend to be themed based, but no exact reoccurring one.

>do you remember dreams at all
Well yea, mostly for a few hours after I wake up, just normal stuff

Tfw best and worst dream had me holding straight crushs hands. ;;
Most of my old dreams focused around me being chased and zombies and stuff

Also, does anyone feel like they run really slowly in dreams?
>>
>>7844573
>do you get nightmares
yes, but they are very rare. most of the time its just about sexual abuse that's happened in the past, doesn't exactly keep me awake or anything. occasionally I also have a dream where I peel my face off
>do you have reoccurring dreams
yes, In most of my dreams I'm a female (rarely sexual for some reason) and I'm a natal male. yes I'm a tranny
>do you remember your dreams at all
obviously. My dreams aren't very visual, its more about emotions i feel in them if that makes sense

>>
>Nightmares
I only get nightmares involving Chucky The Doll. I accidentally saw the movie when I was young and it basically traumatized me.

>Reoccuring dreams
Every once in a while I get a dream where some way or another I become a girl or I just start out as one. These are my favorite dreams and sometimes they get pretty lewd. I'm always waiting for the next one.

>Remembering dreams
I remember pretty much all of my dreams. The most recent one I was a contracted into being a maid in some king's castle. I don't think I was even paid but I feel like I was forced. It was pretty fucking awesome though.

Last night I dreamt that Zelda for Wii U became in stock at Walmart. I got excited but then realized the website had the zip code for my parents home about 2,000 miles away. I was disappointed. Then I woke up and realized that even my false hope of playing Zelda this weekend was just a pipe dream.

I usually have good dreams because I'm usually aware that I'm dreaming and I wake myself up if I don't like where things are going. Also, I'm really good at steering the plot of a dream.
Only time I really have nightmares is when things start getting uncomfortable and I don't actually wake up properly, which only happens when I'm sick or drugged up on something. Usually said nightmares involve the belief that I've woken up combined with sleep paralysis and ominous looking shadows.

Most of my dreams are just every day shit, like going grocery shopping or hanging out at home. The part that makes them interesting is that I have 'admin controls' of sorts. I can levitate and fly at will, pull things into my hands from a distance by concentrating on them, give commands to objects like "light" to make it glow, make people feel certain emotions and do certain things, and I can duplicate food with a little focus, which is especially awesome because my sense of taste is fully functional while dreaming. Also, I can conjure bits of fire and manipulate water with great effort, but fire and moving water are really hard to visualize, so it doesn't always work and there's a high risk of just waking myself up if I try too hard.
I can do all of this in all of my dreams, and the main way I tell whether or not I'm dreaming is whether or not I feel like I can do this stuff. The only exceptions are the aforementioned nightmares where I failed to properly wake up.

As for reoccurring dreams, I have several. More than can be described in a single post. The interesting part about them though is that when they show up again, I immediately gain full lucidity. I remember exactly how it's gone in the past and I'm concious enough to experiment and see if I can get a cooler outcome.

I usually remember my more interesting dreams. If it's cool enough I write it down and it usually becomes reoccuring.

I wish i could answer that for you. for me I realized that don't owe anything to anyone. why pretend to live your life like other people would want you to? not even to mention having dysphoria while doing it. I'm trying not to be preachy but i just wanna be me you know, fuck other people and their opinions.
but one thing i do suggest is going to a therapist either way to help you with your emotions. maybe also THOROUGHLY consider taking HRT for reasons other than transition
