Do remember she was openly trans (and not by her choice) a decade ago when trans shit was still super taboo to talk about, she was basically forced into the spotlight when there was no safety net for people like her.

More than likely she faced a lot of harassment, stalking, personal threats to her wellbeing, and who knows what other crazy shit. Like, I can see why now that she's one hundred percent done with transition she more or less prefers to look past that part of her life, seeing as how it has no relevance to who she is today, and probably only brings about bad memories.
