idk, I think the filtered version sharpens your features and elongates your face. Makes you look more like a smooth skinned femboy than a girl. Your actual face is a lot rounder. The biggest improvement the filter makes is clear skin but that goes for everyone.

I'm not sure how people get results that are so wildly different. Changes to my pics are really minor. Just, really could be achieved with makeup, circle lenses, by trimming my eyebrows a bit higher and maybe minor lower face surgery. It hasn't convinced me I really should get the latter, though I probably will soon anyway.
Oh, it also seems to equate a higher hairline with a more feminine look, which is weird.

If you're pre-transition or early in transition I'd recommend an app called YouCam Makeup. It basically allows you to edit a pic of your face to apply makeup of your choice including making your skin look smoother. If you don't like your current hairstyle you can select a different hairpiece too.

With makeup and hairpiece change alone (no facial feature shape changing, etc.) I was able to make the pic look cis enough that I almost looked like a younger version of my mother. It feels good because it seems like a reachable goal, and I can know that even without HRT as long as I use a ton of makeup I could look almost cis-tier

I remember working on a similar app. We used it as way to get data of girls in our market. We wanted ro know if our clients product had a chance in this particular market. So we got a shitload of pics were we could scrutinize from were they stood on the social ladder. All from data mining and even manually looking at the backdrop of the pics. Was it an apartment or house were they upload pics from, what city and state, ethnicity, how well their house was decorated, any pets. All this does is smoothen rough lines. Makes tge face blurry bassically like adding petroleum jelly to a lense.

These apps are super harmful but looking at all your "dramatic transformations" really confirms for me how all in our heads everything is. I'm cis but deal with dysmorphia (not dysphoria), basically a face/body image disorder.

I remember going through a very obsessive period with my appearance this one time, not quite suicidal thoughts but close and constantly spiraling thoughts about how ugly I was, so I decided to download an app and make a "perfect" version of my face post-dream-plastic-surgery. I tried to keep it realistic and decide on what actual results I would want, so no enlarged eyes since surgery couldn't give me that. Anyway, I spend over an hour on this one photo and by the end, the before and after couldn't be more different. It is just night and day. I think about how happy I would be if I looked like that, if that's how people saw me! The Before photo is totally humiliating for me to look at and the After edit is my fantasy.

I show it to my mom and to my best friend on separate occasions and neither of them can tell the photos apart. They both squint and play "spot the difference" which astounds me because I can't even stand to swipe between the two photos because of how stark the difference is. I don't really know how to explain their non-reaction but whatever, I can see all $50,000 of hypothetical plastic surgery right there.

A couple of months later I'm looking through my phone, now in a normal self esteem state of mind and happy to be alive. There's a picture of myself saved twice. ...Or, wait.... It's not the same picture... It's my fucking BEFORE AND AFTER which I am now struggling to tell apart. And you know what? And it's not because the After is hideous but because the Before is fine.

Moral of the story is that I'm having that exact same experience looking at most of these before and afters- you guys already look so much like your dream selves! I already see you the way you want to be seen.
