it's not really that people accept his theories word for word. at the very least, i think it can be said that most trans people can be tentatively sorted into one of two categories. the definitions of these are still vague and there's no consensus, but a few people on this board, i think, have been trying to start discussions about it and/or force their own ideas down everyone's throat.

the labels hsts and agp/aap are just titles that everyone who's read a little bit of trans history has heard, and they're convenient for use in memes and conversation. (just my two cents, i also think aside from the antiquated use of 'homosexual' to mean 'straight trans' in this context, og blanchardians put too much weight on sexual orientation and not enough on gender presentation or overall personality).

i think it's pretty interesting. there's not much good quality mainstream research about trans people even now, and most of it is from a bullshit idpol queer theory standpoint.

but at the same time anyone who takes any of this (either blanchard or /tttt/ discourse) as gospel is completely retarded.
