yes please if you could, i've been researching about canada (and British Columbia in particular) alot and it seems to me like it's a place more rural and different than some other parts of Canada, i also forgot one of the very important reasons i wanted to study in Canada, was crime. i'm very scared of crime and from researching it, it seems like Canada has MUCH less crime than the states, would you say that's right? does BC have less crime than other Canadian provinces?

BC crime rate is pretty low compared to other places especially Ontario and Alberta but lately cities on the Alberta border have seen a spike of crime because Albertans

BC has a bit more ruralness to it because we only have 4 million people and everything outside Vancouver is spread out because you can only build in mountain valleys. We do have a bit of s different culture to Canada and we try to be as independent from Canada as possible this is probably because we joined Canada pretty late and many of us including myself feel that the federal government doesn't really care about us When most people think of a Canadian they're thinking of someone from Ontario and were quite different.

One thing about Vancouver because you said something about going to UBC is that it's actually made up of multiple cities. Ill find a map and post. you're going to be renting because of high prices of buying homes which isn't too bad because the lowest amount anyone pays for rent in Canada as a whole tends to be $1000 a month. There is a gay community neighborhood in Vancouver but I wouldn't recommend it because a large amount of them are of the very very degenerate variety (not just gay but into very wierd shit) one of the cities in Vancouver or metro Vancouver as the entire thing is called where I wouldn't go is Surrey. Surrey is improving and could be a decent place in 10 years but right now it's very crime ridden

In Vancouver you have an amazing transit network with the SkyTrain (longest fully automated train in the world) if you're living anywhere else in BC you're going to NEED a car and BC is very mountainous so the highways can be challenging to drive. Also I might add here I don't know how flat Saudi is but some people from low lying countries do have a bit of a time adjusting to BCs higher altitudes so I would not do anything really strenuous for the first 3 weeks.

In all honesty you picked probably the best part of North America. To be brutally honest a huge amount of the rest of Canada is really crappy. One thing about British Columbians is we don't like someone who acts like too much of an outsider and by that i don't mean race/culture but when you're in a community you don't want to make lots of noise don't litter or annoy people or act better than them or come across like you are acting as such there is also a sense of people helping eachother out for free when bad things happen for / real life example in winter if you own a pickup truck someone slid off the road into the ditch you are seen as a good person if you stop and help pull them out if you have chains/cables etc this helping people at random thing is especially strong in rural areas

About being gay here too. People don't care that you're gay but they don't like people who feel the need to tell everyone and make a huge deal out of it and try to seem special because of it. You can even kiss in public etc nobody really cares but people don't like of you go around screaming LOOK AT ME IM GAY

wow, thank you very very much. i heard ubc has two branches, one in the city and one in a rural area with alot of beautiful green mountains and rivers, I kind of dislike living in the city because of my paranoia with crime (and it's obvious that cities would be centers of crime) but since life in open areas requires a car I guess I'll think more of the one in Vancouver city
