It doesn't necessarily have to be "fetishy," there is plenty of hypnosis stuff out there which is more in-line with therapeutic hypnosis / hypnotherapy. Usually it helps bring to the surface repressed sexuality or orientation hidden in the subconscious.

At least in my case it was. It's still something I'm dealing with, but I found it to be really helpful.
