so I've always considered myself an LGBT ally but lately I've noticed I have a hard time calling trans people "him" or "her", maybe it's some internal underlying transphobia but I want to break this. Anyone else know this feel? I feel terrible desu I don't mean to do it
it means that you're breaking the conditioning

seriously the binary is the truth run away from this place
I have the same feeling
I have a FtM friend and saying 'him' just sounds so off and I need to verbally force myself to do it.

They didn't say anything about non-binary stuff though anon

do they pass? if you have trouble calling a person who looks like a girl 'her" or a person who looks like a guy 'him' then i think you have problems
Eh, it's just habit. I've had enough trans friends for long enough that it doesn't phase me.

No, they don't. I guess that's part of it

i had the same shit with my friends, as soon as i started to pass it was easier for them to say she/her

love those shoes
I have trouble sometimes too and I'm trans, but I also have problems with visual information and being unable to represent it differently in my mind I hate it

This, they're the biggest pushers of homophobia so to call themselves allies sure takes gall
