Agender is IMHO the only tumblr gender label that makes sense. My friend is agender and I like how they're chill about all these gender roles, stereotypes etc. How they don't need to conform to any standards.

I'm transitioning to look more feminine though, but it's not about gender expectations, but aesthetics. And the label 'female' matches me way more than 'male' anyways when it comes to my personality and world view. Maybe I am agender because I don't feel a need to conform to any of these… but I want to get my transition done first.

That could be argued to be a gender itself.

I kind of agree with your nihilst way of going about it and not caring'assigning yourself one, but that totalitarian way of smashing gender rolls other people are perfectly happy with is worrying.

Personally I just go with whatever. My cool, lgbt friends know my policy, and that I don't mind either. Some other lgbt friends insist on "muh pronouns" and so I ask them to use "they," but not to correct people. Sometimes they do anyway, which is annoying.
