"Disorder" is not synonymous with "illness".
Illness implies that you're sick and can potentially be cured; BDD and Anorexia are similar mental illnesses that have to deal with self-image. Disorder means there's just something unusual that may cause issues in your attempts to function in society. Gender Dysphoria is a disorder, because it starts at birth and will last your entire life because it's part of you. Same with Manic-depressive disorder, chronic depression, and dyslexia.
