I only realized I had dysphoria when I was 19.
At 23 found out trans was a thing and that I can transition.
Got a job at 24, started HRT soon after, being almost 25.
Fortunately, my height, face and skeletal structure seem to be relatively androgynous, but I'm still scared.

The only way to make 100% sure you won't be a hon is to completely avoid puberty of your birth sex. I.e., start transitioning before it and go on blockers.
After that it mainly depends on your genes. There is no universal cutoff age, it's all highly individual.
There are adults who look androgynous as fuck even before HRT, and end up passing well even if they start at 25.

That would actually help a lot, when it comes to passing, too. The goal of every tranny should be to live in the gender they truly identify with. But they just have to acknowledge their (original) sex. I'm so tired of trans-people, who want to overly relativize their situation. It is very likely true that there are neurological and biological differences between transwomen, for example, and cis men, i.e. transwomen may have similar brain structures etc. like ciswomen, but the rest of their body is still male.
As soon as a transgirl acknowledges her differences and special circumstances she can act accordingly: Spaghetti top? Not a good idea! Shoulderless? Even worse.
There are countless trannies out there with really and I mean really bad fashion choices! Many reddit hons just wear dresses. You rarely see cis women in dresses in everyday life nowadays! And 4chan trannies often tend to wear no female clothes at all and go for the lazy NEET or unisex style. That does not really help very much either. Damn, just look at the cis girls irl and copy them! That's what cis girls do all the time anyway... and if you have no hips or tits, just use same padding. These things are literally selled to cis females, why not using them?
But I've got called a hypocrite here, because I advocated learning how to use make-up professionally on this board... because the use of make-up would mean "that you don't really pass".
