Men's testicles do not produce testosterone without estrogen. The highest concentration of estrogen in healthy males is their testicles actually because it's a signalling hormone to produce sperm, testosterone, and DHT. (Though obviously if you flood your body with estrogen then it hurts your testicles)
If for some reason your body had no estrogen receptors you'd be infinitely more likely to be a eunuch, which means you would not be gaining much masculine characteristics.
