It doesn't take a genius to figure out that it's because they need to find something unique to be proud of (or even feel disadvantaged with) in their lives. They start genuinely believing themselves after a while and just get used to it.

I'm nonbinary technically, since I present as male or female on different days and sometimes mix them together intentionally for an aesthetic. I can't really tell if I feel dysphoria at all or if I just have low self esteem, but I'm not too hung up on pronouns and am fine with being "misgendered" on girl days or boy days.

I kind of wish I had someone to talk to about this stuff that wasn't either trying to convince me I'm trans, convince me I'm cis, or is absolutely crazy.

Well, when I say "fine" with it I mean that I don't blame them and actually get angry with myself for not doing a good enough job presenting. It can ruin my day, depending on whether I've been having a good day or not, but I do get over it in a few hours usually.
