Hold your hand on your throat and swallow. Feel how your adam's apple moves upward into your chin? Try to keep it there.
Learn which muscles to contract to keep it there, and try to get comfortable doing so until it sounds natural and not strained. Then you can start playing with your pitch.

Pro tip: You actually shouldn't have to raise your pitch much, if at all. Plenty of women have "deep" voices that are still identifiably female because of other characteristics.
The main difference in voice between genders is resonance (whether the voice comes from your chest or your throat) and then inflections (emphasizing with pitch or volume).

try to talk from higher up in ur throat. practice in shower. don't hate self. u'll get there

This. This is how I learnt but I couldn't remember how I did as it was like 3 years ago and it's natural to me now. Just focus on doing that, it might seem awkward to begin with but eventually it will be second nature. And then eventually you can take that shit out on the road with you. The best time to practise is when you are in front of people who don't know you're a tranny yet, the fear of being humiliated will make you focus on technique a lot harder.

Thank you! Inflection was really easy for me, I just kept in mind what causes mtfs to have bad voices (nasally, falsetto, stereotypical inflection, low pitch) and I just worked to avoid issues. Having been a singer helped immensely as well.

Not the one you were replying to but I kinda see where you're coming from. In the waiting room of the gender clinic I go to (which is the most used one in the country and there's only a few at all) I often see other trannies that are still transitioning and while some just don't talk and there are some with okay voices that sound natural and not masculine, there's some other ones that just have absolutely terrible voices.
Like there was this one person who was constantly talking in head/falsetto register that I saw both at the clinic and elsewhere in the hospital the clinic is at and everyone just stared at "her" because the voice sounded so retarded, like worse than monty python tier, completely unnatural.
Frankly the most terrifying thing though was the previous time I went when some person who looked like a woman at first sight walked in but "she" greeted me in this terribly deep man voice, like not even sounding anything gay or like a tranny, just man manly man, and I was actually genuinely shocked, terrified, and unable to respond until "she" sat down next to me and tried starting a conversation and I regained my composure (to make things worse, as I got a closer look I also noticed "her" rather masculine jawline and slight shadow under makeup, it kinda made me realise I'm not actually a hon / late transitioner from that person's perspective).
Then "she" asked for pointers on voice therapy and I realised this person was aware of the problem and trying to improve but just helpless and unsure what to do and I felt sorry for "her".

What helped me was speaking a bit in falsetto every day, in order to raise my pitch. And now i'm in lower female range without having to try.
