My last boyfriend was an 8.5/10.
I don't consider myself anywhere near that league for several reasons.
He saw me on some dating app and went after me and I politely blew him off for weeks "for his own good" before I finally just gave in and met up with him. I expected him to shut the door in my face after he first saw me but he smiled and invited me in.. then dragged me into his bedroom and practically tackled me. We were together for over a year, and at first I kept making little insecure comments about how he's out of my league, but he kept saying he thought I was really hot, so I decided to just let it go and keep my mouth shut and enjoy my good luck at finding a hot guy with low standards.
Turns out I was right, since every time he would point out a hot guy on tv/the street.. they were an ugly weirdo that looked a lot like me.

Point is, people like what they like so don't argue with them.

And an important bonus point that I learned from that relationship is, dont be so focused on being good enough for him that you become blind to considering if he is good enough for you. Specifically I learned that no matter how fucking hot a guy who's dumb enough to find me attractive is, I dont want to date alcoholics who want their boyfriend to act like their mother... and I prefer having actual sex over just jerking off on someones face...
