The only way I was able to handle being that vulgar and disgusting was doing it in a ironic way. In fact I became quite capable of being even more vulgar and disgusting than the average male.

Locker room talk was disgusting. Thankfully I only had to deal with it in middle school because being in marching band counted as PE at my high school. The only good memory I have of locker room talk was this one time these gangbanger wannabe Mexican dudes were trying to "out-man" each other and one of them accidentally set himself on fire trying to use a can of bodyspray as a flamethrower with a shitty lighter. I usually got dressed and undressed as soon as possible so I could go out and socialize with female friends before we actually had to start doing PE activities. Then, I'd get my ass kicked or have balls intentionally thrown into my face. At the end, I'd get back into my normal clothes as quickly as possible and head off to class. I was the low shit on social totem pole.
