66 each day wouldn't really be a work out for me. If I did 66 each day, it wouldn't break down enough muscle. The objective is to do enough of a workout to break down muscle, but not to push into any extremes.

A traditional strength workout suggests you do arms one day, leave it a day, then do something different on the third day. I'm using that principle, but just trying to execute it a little differently.

Yeah I mean that's the principle behind heavy weight lifting right? You work those muscles hard and they rebuild. But they need to be worked hard, and not just the same amount each time. 66 wouldn't put me in that threshold of having worked hard.

My arms are sore from doing 200 push ups, they'll likely be a little sore til Wednesday. That says to me I've worked the muscle to a good extent.

Character driven storytelling is imo the best way to make up an intriguing story. The Thing was Carpenter's best movie, and a very good example of this.

You've got half a dozen characters with all their quirks. One by one they get infected by whatever the hell The Thing is,and they act accordingly but only when no one is looking. In the end, the only human element in the story is doubt between two characters who have no way of knowing if the other one is The Thing, and the problem is simply dealt of with torching the whole place.

It's left ambiguous whether the one surviving member of the team is The Thing, too.
