I would say go for it and train it. I would even offer you to it train with me since I'm doing some training too, but I'm too afraid to actually talk to people.

If you care about training your voice, or accepting it for how it is, a perfect time to practice is actually talking to someone face to face.

Go on youtube. Do some searching.

Search some "how to videos" of changing your voice
Search some vocal exercise videos

Spend 20ish (or whatever the vocal exercise videos recommend) minutes a day practicing these exercises

If you want to change your voice the directions I mentioned would be your best bet. You have to train. You HAVE to do this. Repetitive training and exercise will help you brain, ears, and vocal cords sync up the way you want them to.

It's no different than practicing for any other type of task.

I really like your voice and normally I don't like American voices. I think it would only sound gay if you acted very camp with it. Your voice is lighter and less quacky than most American accents but it doesn't come across as particularly gay, a lisp would put it into gay territory though.

My voice is slightly deep. It's weird because I'm tiny, kinda feminine and look like a 12 year old. It's not that my voice itself is deep, but its been conditioned over years of trying to sound deeper because everyone at school used to tease me for being too high pitched. I always half-mumble to make myself sound lower but my actual voice only really comes out when I talk loudly. I wish I could sound like you.

You should be a YouTuber if you aren't already, your voice would be so comfy and would send me to sleep if you did a Let's Play.

These are uneducated answers, 90% of the stereotypical gay voice comes from the use of female inflections/speech patterns. To get this, either spend a LOT of fucking time around girls or research what the differences are and continuously practice using them.

What's wrong with changing things you dont like about yourself? Trans people change thier entire bodies. People get plastic surgery. I work out to lose weight. This is someone changing thier voice to sound how they want it to sound. Self improvement is a valuable thing. You don't get to dictate what is improvement for someone else. If it makes them feel better and more confident then it's worth it.

And probably easier than therapy if he truly hates it.
