Well, I feel like once you're trans you're already off the hook for having your parents be willing to voice their curiosity about what *exactly* you get up to in the bedroom. No matter how you slice it, you're going to fuck with enough of their mental constructions of your self and sexuality as to make them uncomfortable, barring some high-tier hippy parents.

So don't tell your parents. Ultimately, they don't need to know, as it's only so much their business as you care to make it. It doesn't make you a freak to be trans, and it doesn't make you a freak to take comfort in certain sexual behaviour.

Which is easy to say, but having that sort of self-confidence and respect takes time. Give it to yourself, and do not end it over something as innocent as wanting to be cared for in a way you missed out on.

I think I've become seriously dependent on my sexuality (which includes lots of weird fetishes, one of which is ageplay) as a coping mechanism. I can't tell to what extent my fetishes have developed because of being trans as opposed to just coincidentally existing and then being used to help with it, especially with those that I had before I knew I was trans or even noticeably experienced dysphoria. Being AGP just makes it even more confusing, especially in the case of fetishes like body modification and bimbofication.

It's strange how porn can distract me from dysphoria so well while also being so triggering, considering it prominently features girls being comfortable with their bodies and their sexualities and who they are in general (and if not necessarily then I'll usually project that onto it). I think that even though my dysphoria is intensified the distraction of the sexuality outweighs it overall, and lets me move on from it quickly due to the pressure to continue to receive sexual gratification.

Being trans impacts on so many aspects of your life that developing unusual sexual fetishes from it isn't really surprising or strange to be honest. Regardless, there's no reason to be ashamed of a sexual fetish, and being trans doesn't change that.

You can see how low self-esteem, feelings of lack of control over your body and life in general, feelings of ostracism, feelings of shame and self-disgust, and all the other things that often go along with gender dysphoria can manifest themselves in sexual ways. For example, many fetishes have a fundamental component of loss/lack of control; whether you take them with the angle of being comforted and protected in a loving D/s relationship or of being abused and neglected (depending on whether it comes out as a desire for help or as a form of masochism), or with both.

But it's what I need. How can I really be at peace when I'm constantly anxious about those needs not being met?
