Would you rather be 5'5 but forced to delay your transition

I'd choose 5'5 any day, its only 2 inches shorter than my current height (ftm)

If you transition at 18, you basically avoid the majority of puberty. Look at your average high school senior. Femboy at best.

I transitioned at 17 and I'm 5'11, literally no one ever thinks I'm trans (South too, so not some liberal hugbox). A man face and barrel body on a short trans woman is wayyyyyy worse than being tall.

Yep, I have a pretty slight build, and really female fat distribution. In mens' clothes its really really obvious they don't fit me. Feels nice to be able to dress as a guy and still pass as a girl if I want.

But I hit puberty at 11, to be fair it was be woman or be manlet. No regrets.

So it's either starting off as a 5'5", likely balding manlet, that went through the entirety of male puberty and adulthood with the added prospect of having hrt do literally nothing for you because you're so old...Or starting at 18 being 6'2" and having a 12 year head start on hrt when there's still a chance to salvage what's left of your body.

Also you're forgetting the aspect of socialization. If you start at 18, you'll have at least a decade or two of transitioning into a woman ahead of the 30 year old. You'll still have years spent in your youth living as a woman that the 30 year old will never have. You'll blend in better because you'll know how to dress and carry yourself like a normal woman after all those years transitioning. If you start at 30, when the best of your life and it's opportunities are behind you, you'll spend maybe 10 or 20 years on HRT and live as a hon because you're old and your body doesn't take as well to estrogen as an 18 year old would. Once you hit 50, you'll have to either stop taking estrogen and potent AAs or risk cancer and blood clots. You likely won't be able to find a partner because you're an old trans woman that started at 30, unless you trap a cis woman into having kids with you and she grudgingly accepts being with a transbian. If you start at 18 your chances of finding a long term partner are way better.

I know that older trans women who started that late would have killed to transition younger. Hell, I would have killed to transition two years earlier when I was 16 but that's child abuse apparently. This thread is bad and you should feel bad.

I'm 6'2 and started at 19. I'd probably pick 6'2/18, if I'm 5'5 and wait until 30 I'd probably end up with a much bigger ripcage.
